Athletics

Hi guys!
Today was athletics day. It was really fun and I had a good time. The 7 events were sprints 100 mtr, cricket ball throw, high jump, discus, shot put, long jump and sprints 200 mtr. All the houses were cheering for each other and it was a really fun and enjoyable day.

Mark Twain

In class yesterday we were discussing and talking about Mark Twain. Here are some things we learnt about him.

• Mark Twain is not his real name. His real name is actually Samuel Clemens


• He got the name Mark Twain from where he works. For his job he does rowing and he was the one who had to tell the other rowers where to row by testing how deep the water was. and two metres was called twain and so if the water was two metres deep, he had to yell out "Mark Twain!".


• He is a famous author


• He wrote Huckleberry Fin and the adventures of Tom Sawyer.
• He was American

My goals and dreams...

When I leave high school I want to either go to university and get a degree in teaching kids the age of 0-4 or I would like to got to university and get a degree in equine vetting by studying medicines and science for 4 years.

Also one day I might move to Australia because I have always loved that country.

One day I would also like to travel to France and visit Paris to see the Eiffel tower and then I want to go to Italy.

Hi everybody!

After a long two weeks of holiday its time to go back to school. I hope everyone had a fantastic school holidays and hopefully you'll have a great term as well!

What I would like to study...

These are the things I would like to study:

• astronomy-about the stars and the planets and the whole of space.
• animals/horses - how to care for them and how to keep them healthy
• film making- how to make films
  
• ancient civilisations-how people got punished in the olden days

Class party!

Hey guys!
On Friday the 26th of June my class had a class party. The reason we had this party was because last term we earned 1000 points for our good behaviour. We had a shared lunch, a whole block of PE and we watched a movie. The movie was called Mrs Doubtfire and for the shared lunch there were things like biscuits, cakes and chips. Someone also brought some grapes. There was lemonade and coke to drink and everyone had a really great time!

Science challene online

If you are in an accelerate class at school you have to do this thing online called the science challenge. Its were you have to answer a series of questions all about science. I am in an accelerate class and therefore I have to do them.

Primary research project

Hi guys!
At school, the accelerate classes have to do this thing online called the primary research project. Its were you have to answer a series of questions on the Internet. the different questions are all about dictionaries, atlases, and common knowledge. I am in an accelerate class and I have to do them and they are really cool!

ICAS

At school there are these ICAS tests and what they are is lots of different Australian tests that you take and you get marked and then receive a certificate for. the subjects are spelling, writing, maths, science, computers and reading.

Ancient runes!!!

I can now write in ancient runes! It's so exciting because i can write messages in the runes and people can decode them. I think they are greek but i'm not entirely sure . My friend showed them to me and she learnt them from her english teacher at high school because she is 13

Statistical investigation

In class we are doing a statistical investigation about which is more expensive, the dairy down the road or the school canteen. We will also test the taste and the healthiness of the different foods and at the end we will find out which is better to get food from

Cencus at school

At school I have just finished a survey called Cencus at school. It is a survey about everyday life at school and at home. It has things like how much does your school bag weigh and the length of your foot.
